Wall decals transform a nursery quickly, without paint or a landlord's permission. Look for removable, repositionable decals made from non-toxic, low-odor materials safe for a baby's room, with adhesive strong enough to stay put yet gentle enough to peel away cleanly later. Matte finishes read more softly than glossy ones, and peel-and-stick application means you can decorate in an afternoon. Check that decals suit your wall texture, since heavily textured walls hold decals poorly. Decals suit renters, budget-conscious parents, and anyone who likes to refresh a theme as a child grows. A practical tip: apply decals well away from the crib and out of your baby's reach, since a peeled-off piece is a choking hazard, and press out air bubbles from the center outward for a smooth finish. Test a small decal on your wall first to confirm it adheres and removes cleanly before covering a larger area.
