A baby bathtub makes bath time safer and easier on your back. For newborns, look for a contoured insert or sling that supports the head and shoulders above the water, plus a non-slip interior that keeps your baby from sliding. A built-in drain plug speeds emptying, and a design that fits your sink or full-size tub matters for storage and comfort. Some tubs grow with your child, adding a seated position once they can sit. These tubs suit newborns through the sitting stage, and convertible models stretch their use across those months. A practical tip: never rely on any bath support to replace your hands, and keep one hand on your baby at all times, since drowning can happen in very little water and in seconds. Gather towel, washcloth, and clean clothes before you start, so you never need to step away from the tub.
