What we liked
- + Mesh rolls away when not in use and has no bottom rail, so there is no step-over trip hazard in narrow hallways.
- + Extends from 0 to 54 inches wide, which covers most doorways, hallways, decks and porches with one gate.
- + Two-step double-lock latch and one-hand operation suit parents who carry a baby or laundry through the gate.
Trade-offs
- - The brand is not as established as Summer Infant or Regalo, and the listing gives few details on mounting hardware beyond anchors and screws.
- - At 34 inches tall it is shorter than extra-tall retractable gates, which matters if you have a climbing toddler.
