# Best Rocking Chairs for Soothing Your Baby to Sleep (2026) Source: https://nurserysetupnest.com/best/rocking-chairs Updated: 2026-10-06 Publisher: Nursery Setup Nest. Our score is an editorial rating out of 10 (fit 35%, features 25%, build 20%, value 20%), not a customer rating. Method: https://nurserysetupnest.com/how-we-research#our-score A rocking chair brings a classic, gentle motion to feeds and bedtime, and a safe, stable design is the foundation. Look for well-balanced rockers that will not tip back too far, a solid hardwood or sturdy upholstered frame, and cushions that support your lower back through long sessions. Consider the floor surface too, since felt pads under the rockers protect hardwood and keep the motion quiet during a 3am feed. Rocking chairs suit parents who prefer a timeless look and a rhythmic rock over a modern glide, and they transition nicely into a cozy corner chair later on. A practical tip is to keep the rocker away from walls and cords, and to be mindful of little fingers and toes near the rockers once your child is crawling, so the chair stays a safe fixture in a busy nursery. ## Picks ### 1.
